Keliens 101
So, you're curious how Keliens are cloned, huh? Well, let's take a quick stroll down a mad (albeit awesome) scientist's memory lane...
We start the process off with a piece of wire bent into shape and welded to a yellow base using a couple blobs of epoxy (click the images to view the larger versions).
With the foundation in place it's time to start "fleshing" out the rest of the body.
With the body in pretty good shape it was time to look at the arms and head. There were a number of revisions, and some of the images here just show shapes for reference only.
Decided to add a bit of bulk to the legs, it will add some shape as well.
Here I decided to go with the over-sized head to match the overall odd porportions. I use grey sandable primer as a scratch coat to weed out imperfections.
Revisions to the left arm and chest. He has knees now, and yes, the head has taken a decidely alien look that I like.
Finally, after much blood, sweat, tears, glued fingers and inhaled primer, the first completed prototype!
Now that the inital figure is done the cloning can begin!
